Themed “Empowering Women Leaders, Breaking Barriers, Shaping The Future”, she said the conference plays a vital role to foster an environment where ideas can flourish, partnerships can be forged and leaders can emerge.

“I take this opportunity to encourage more Malaysian women in Sabah to attend the conference for knowledge exposure, personal enhancement and professionalism towards achieving women’s empowerment,” she told a press conference at SICC, Thursday.

Meanwhile, Swepa President Karen Wong said beside participation from Peninsular Malaysia, other participants are from foreign countries, namely India, Singapore, Brunei, Taiwan and the United States.

“The event not only covers a session of sharing, it will also give an opportunity for some of Swepa members to promote and showcase their products and services at the exhibition,” she said.

Wong said the conference also encouraged male participation as the Swepa is not gender biased, as the voices from the male colony and vice-versa need to be heard.
